As we are all aware, PPE for our Front line NHS staff dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic is in short supply.
As part of the effort to help provide needed PPE, I have volunteered to manufacture Face Shield Frames by the use of my 3D Printer.
I have been printing the frames for the last 3 weeks and delivering them to our university, the University of East Anglia, every Monday and Thursday.
After delivery to doctors, at the UEA, the frames are sterilised and assembled, under clinical conditions, before being shipped to the staff that so desperately need them.
I’d not considered starting a fundraiser when I set out to help, but people have been offering to donate money to assist me in my efforts. So, here is away for people to help.
Even just a few pounds equates to approximately 5 frames so every little counts.
I expect to be manufacturing the frames for the next 5 – 6 weeks and your support will mean not just a great deal to myself, but our wonderful NHS staff who are dealing with unimaginable situations.
Thank you so much for your support, stay safe and keep positive! :]
