Video: 3D Concrete Printer on Dozer-type Tracks

It isn’t the first 3D concrete printer invented for the construction industry, but Netherlands-based CyBe Construction‘s CyBe RC 3Dp is the first 3D concrete printing system that propels itself along on rubber dozer-type tracks. 

Best yet, it works. The CyBe RC 3Dp has been used in several projects including 3D printing concrete sewer pits.

With the use of CyBe’s printable mortar – a fast-drying concrete product that will be load-bearing within an hour – the tracked printer can print layers a little over an inch thick. The RC 3Dp can extend its undercarriage to increase its range to about 8 feet.

The electric unit takes two people to operate. Early in 2017, the CyBe company is taking their new tracked 3D concrete printer to Dubai to build a new lab for the Dubai Electrical and Water Authority.  

CyBe’s goal is to make it possible for contractors to build walls, floors, formworks, sewer and water structures onsite.
