Product Features

  • ABS 3D PRINTER FILAMENT: 2.2LBS/1KG dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.05mm. Compatible with most 3D printers and pens. ABS is made out of oil-based resources. Has a higher melting point than PLA, a longer life span and is sturdier and more durable.
  • RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURES: Heating Bed Temperature is from 90 to 110°C. Extrusion/Nozzle Temperature for the ABS filament is from 210 to 230°C. Please print on a heated surface when using ABS filament as your prints will be deformed if you don’t.
  • DURABLITY & LONGEVITY: TechOrbits 3D printing filament is VACUUM SEALED to prevent your filament from absorbing water from the air. Unsealed filament can result in bad print quality, higher nozzle temperature requirements as well as broken filament.

  1. Not impressed. The ABS seems softer than other spools from manufacturers like Hatchbox. I’ve tried many different temperature settings from 215-245c and it seemed to print better at the higher settings. Up until I tried this filament I have never had a clogged extruder nozzle but with this roll I had 2 clogs. The filament is a solid 1.75mm at all points of measurement through the spool. It could be that I got a bad roll of filament but my overall feeling on this was that it is a substandard material that was…

  2. so it wasn’t entirely perfect. Still I got this in the mail yesterday, and tested it out on a 3D Hubs Marvin print on my UP! Mini Printer. The test print I did was very tiny, and I chose .2 layer height for it. It printed out smoothly for the most part, but there were a few lumps on the surface, so it wasn’t entirely perfect. Still, it feels like a strong plastic, and it extruded easily. Plus, it’s a good red color that’s not too orange like some other brands I’ve found.   3. This is good as a bargain filament. If you’re just starting out or don’t need very finely detailed prints, you get a lot of bang for your buck with this stuff.When I first examined it I could tell it’s a bit softer than my other abs filaments have been. The bit that’s bent and placed into the spool shows signs of distress and it changes color. If you try it yourself bending it sharply, you’ll see a slight color change in the red color.
