Treatstock Designers Now Offer More Recommendations for Customers, Plus Option to Embed …

treatstockTreatstock is a unique 3D printing marketplace we’ve been following since inception. Different from the start in their goal to be a one stop shop for all your needs, they’ve also grown rapidly, from allowing you to buy and sell 3D models to helping you to offer your own 3D printing services. They also offer color print previews and online pricing guides, plus a certification process that’s helpful for all too. A common thread in many of Treatstock’s new offerings too, you’ll notice, is guidance—evidence that they want everyone using their platform to have a rich experience.

Continually expanding opportunities for both their designers and consumer base at an accelerated rate, Treatstock has now announced more features, and some that make a lot of sense both for assistance in ordering and ensuring that customers receive a quality product, as well as added convenience.

While Treatstock allows for 3D printing in a multitude of colors and materials, now designers can lend a hand in making the best choices, offering basic settings.

“For model kits with various parts, designers can now set their recommendation for the type of material and color that the customer can order for 3D printing. As the designer, they most likely would have experimented with different color combinations and settled on what they believe to work the best,” states Treatstock in their latest press release.

Designers most often have 3D printed their models and then provided images on Treatstock to show exactly what their design will turn out like. Usually, customers see these pictures and place an order expecting to receive a print just like what they saw in the photo. Not unique just to Treatstock, this always has the potential to be an issue if the customer sees a photo, imagines getting exactly that, and then in choosing some different options does not receive an identical likeness in the end.unnamed (14)

“Designer’s models are appreciated as they were intended,” states the Treatstock team.

Recommendations will be available from the designers, still allowing for customized work, but allowing the guesswork to be taken out of choosing and ordering whenever customers like.

“This feature is not only for designers but also for the customers out there that prefer to take the road less traveled.”

Those ordering, however, can still choose any materials and colors that they want. In ordering the Quilling ‘Tulips’ model (see image below), they can indeed choose options to make its pieces red and green.

And an even cooler feature: you can now embed the Treatstock store directly into your own website. Not only does this offer a professional aspect to your own brand, it means that any published model from your Treatstock store can be displayed on any site at all as designers choose a model and then simply click ‘embed this model on your site.’ At that point, an embed code is displayed and it can simply be pasted in.

This progressive and dynamic company, headquartered in Newark, Delaware, is centered around providing both convenience and quality for their users, doing all the work behind the scenes which means that customers have it as easy as popping in and choosing a 3D model, choosing a print service, and then enjoying their product—which they are invited to review upon receiving. Whether you are a consumer, designer, or 3D printing service, you should find a comprehensive and streamlined platform at your disposal.
